Re: Health Professional and Support Services Award 2010

The DHAA Inc. has been eagerly awaiting the AIRC decision regarding our submission for the exclusion of dental hygienists from the Federal Award.

The decision and order has been handed down and our submission has been successful. This is a huge milestone for the DHAA Inc. and its members as it has placed our profession in an extremely strong position both now and into the future.

This national achievement would not have been possible without the dedication and hard work of Katrina Murphy (Industrial Advocate), Sue Aldenhoven and Leah Littlejohn who have spent many hours preparing the Dental Hygienists’ Association of Australia Inc. submission. The DHAA Inc. appreciates the support from the State/Territory branches and from all members who filled out the DHAA Inc. Employment Survey as this was utilised in the preparation of the DHAA Inc. submission.
